Google, as we know it nowadays, started just as a big dream of two men named Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They wanted to create a tool that worked as an index, so people could have access to as many information as they could imagine. At first, they had thought to name the tool as BackRub, but then, Milton Sirotta was the one that came up with the idea to call it Google. If you want to know more about where the word Google comes from, click here. Although Larry and Sergey met in 1995, it was until the 14th of September, 1997 that Gloogle.com was officially presented. Since then, Google has been improving and adding more tools in order to cover all of the daily necessities. People all over the world are able to use Google because it has many languages versions available. At the end, Larry and Sergey created more than they ever imagined. Everybody knows how to use Gmail nowadays, right? But how did all begin, and what was its purpose? At the beginning, people thought it was not a very good idea to create another e-mail service because it already existed Hotmail and Yahoo Mail; however, when people first experienced using Gmail, they noticed that it was so much better than the ones previously mentioned. Paul Buchheit is the creator of Gmail, and he just wanted to create another way of sending e-mails, but what he did was better. These days, everybody has at least one Gmail account. It is very important and useful in our professional lives because it lets us upload and share any document, link, video, or whatever we want just by following simple steps. Have you ever had problems working in groups because you believe some group members do not work, but you do not have clues to prove it? Google Drive allows you to work in groups without having to gather physically in one place. Each member of the group can stay at home working with their own’s computer at the same time. It also allows you to share Word and Excel documents. Moreover, you can share carpets, videos, PDF’s, and some more things that other engines do not allow you to share because they may be too heavy. This engine also has the option that shows you what any other person has changed in one specific document, so you can be aware that everybody has worked on it. Finally, if you do not use Google Drive yet, I invite you to click on the image and create your account.
Tell me, did you already know the history of Google? Don’t you think that any person is able to create something very big if only we believed in our dreams?
